Jau-hwa Chen teaches Philosophy at Soochow University in Taipei. She is the Chairperson of the Peacetime Foundation of Taiwan, also a member of the GPPAC NEA, Taipei Focal Point. She was founder and director of the Human Rights Program at Soochow University. In 2006-2007, she was a visiting scholar at the German Institute for Human Rights in Berlin. Her research interests include the philosophy of human rights, transitional justice and feminist theories.
